Ok basically my summer days consist of hanging out on/around the lake I live on, but my summer nights are a different story. I am using playing some kind of online game for many hours and deep into the night. I would say I am pretty addicted to games and it interferes with my sleeping patterns. I end up pushing my sleep to later in the night and cutting off hours. Recently I have tried to get off the games at least an hour before sleep. I cant sleep I just lay there for hours and it sucks. I try taking sleeping medicine but that crap stinks and just makes me feel like hung over the next day. Do you have any tips for helping me get to sleep so I don't screw myself over during the school year..?
Please and thanks!!Sleeping Problems.. Advice please!!?
take two benadyrls 15min before u go to bed or drink tea with no caffien and kind that helps you fall asleep, read a boring book, watch something boring on tv, work out run do situps swim do something active during the day and lots of it, hope this helped i had the same problem this summerSleeping Problems.. Advice please!!?
wake up early so u only have like 5 hours of sleep. then during the day go do some rigorous activity(i play basketball with my friends for 2 hours or go workout). try to stay outside in the sun during the day. you should be tired pretty early in the night and just pass out. but make sure you wake up early again and repeat. if you don't wake up early you'll probably end up sleeping like 12 hours.
Take the sleep medication Unisom. It is not also used as a pain medication so you will not have the ill side effects.
Also a little trick I learned is to close your eyes and stare directly towards the center of your nose. Works for me every time, next thing I know I'm in wonderland.
Have you tried valerian root tea, it's smells a bit funky and not the best tasting but it's totallly natural. You can find it like at Whole Foods or Trader Joes. Or try Melatonin I think you can get it at Walgreens.
Go to your doc and get sleeping pills to knock ya out for a while. Good luck
