Tampon problems! advice please?

ok i tried inserting a tampon twice (unsuccessfully). both times i tried to put it in i had to take it right back out because it was too painful to go all the way in. i'm still a virgin, could that be why?Tampon problems! advice please?
It's possible. Apparently, a lot of things can break your hymen anyway. Maybe try using a different brand? They're a pain, but Playtex is pretty easy to insert, unless you count the hard-to-remove applicator, ugh. You could also try using smaller ones and see if that helps. Either that or you're a little too 'dry' down in that area.

Can't offer much more advice than that, so hopefully it helped some.Tampon problems! advice please?
yes it could be ur not used to having anything there, or it cud be ur not putting it in right.

i suggest u start off with a tampon with an applicator, and use a mini one, so it wont stretch u out so much. It could also be painful if ur tense - that was my major problem, it makes using tampons and even sex very very painful. Relax, breathe, relax ur pelvic muscles. a trick is to push down with ur muscles, kinda like if ur peeing. That shud help. remember also to follow the instructions and insert it all the way in, otherwise u will be uncomfortable. Ur not meant to feel a tampon when it is in. oh and be aware of the time u put it in, make sure u change before 8 hrs. Try Tampax pearl, theyre easy to use. I started off using tampax mini and went from there. It will take a while to master it but trust me, once u start using them, u'll never go back to pads xx
Unless ur putting it in the rong hole then yeah I think thats definatly it. Also are u slightly tense and nervous about doing it? Coz feeling nervous can cause ur muscles to tense up without ur control and make it harder to put it up there, causing u to feel more pain. Just try and relax and keep trying.
It's not because you're a virgin.. I promise.

But you're most likely putting it in wrong.

And like someone else said, start off with minis.. Or lights.

That might make it a little bit easier.

You also might try reading the boxes directions..
