I have this yellow bump on the inside of my left eye, on the bottom lid.
When i pull my eyelid down I can see it clearly. It's quite large, but not painful. i have slight swelling on the outside of my eye, obviously.
i've been doing research and found information about styes etc. but my main concern is the colour on mine.
what is this?
thank you for answering. :)Eye problems..advice..?
Since we cannot actually see your problem it would be best to see a doctor. Sometimes waiting for something to go away on it's own allows it to only get worse. A stye looks like a zit on your lid in most cases. However it is important NOT to squeeze it like you would do a regular zit. Hot compresses are recommended in that situation, about 15 minutes a few times a day and a course of drops may be necessary as well. Treatment for a chalazion, which is generally bigger than a stye, is the same. If it gets too big you may need a minor office surgery, so don't wait to long to See the doctor, preferably an ophthalmologist.Eye problems..advice..?
you seem to be describing a chalzion. it is an irritation or infection of a meibomian gland in the eyelid.
The best thing to do is to see your own doctor. Your doctor would be the best person to ask .
